Carl Ramzy – “Oz”

I have lived in Vegas most of my life, hiking Red Rock and Charleston since I was a teenager. We are lucky to have these playgrounds in our backyard. I have led hundreds of hike to many peaks around las Vegas. I have made many friendships on this journey. Nature has a great way of clearing your head and bringing people together.

Rob Shaw

I moved to Las Vegas in 1986. I have always been an "outdoors" guy and have hiked and backpacked since my early teens. I've led or helped lead most every hike in Red Rock, Mt. Charleston and Lake Mead that the local clubs do. I've backpacked over 400 miles in the Grand Canyon and spent many days and weeks in the backcountry of Yosemite, Yellowstone and The Rubies in Northern Nevada. Now, I mostly concentrate on local scrambles in Red Rock, from Peaks that take hours to get to and easy hikes that can be done in less than 2 hours. Come with us and see a part of Las Vegas that less than 1% of the population sees!!!!

Rick Marshall

I was born and raised in Southern California and moved to Nevada in 1987. Retired after 34 years in government service. Married - four children and six grandchildren. I have always enjoyed learning new skills and pushing myself - I always loved being outside and doing physical activity. I have been a backpacker most of my life and see climbing mountains as a way to hone old skills, develop new ones and stay fit. Additionally, it is a great way to meet new people with similar interests. I always tell our children: Never give up - you will gain confidence, see results that you never thought possible! Set Goals - Crush Them - Repeat!

Ernesto Chavez

Originally from Bisbee, AZ. Starting at an early age of 10 years old, my father took me hunting, fishing and camping. He wanted me to enjoy the outdoors. Honestly, the outdoors scared the hell out of me. But, he kept trying to convince me it was awesome and peaceful. It took me a long time to understand what he meant, and today I am so grateful for that upbringing.
